hardburn has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Using libapreq2/mod_perl2. When running code for getting uploaded files, I always get an error like the below. The code:

my $fh = $upload->fh;

produces the error:

[Fri Jun 17 21:32:02 2005] [error] Can't locate auto/APR/Request/Param/fh.al in @INC (@INC contains: /home/httpd/perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl . /usr/lib/apache2) at

A similar error happens with the slurp method (just s/fh\.al/slurp.al/ in the above).

This is apreq 2.05 configured with "sudo perl Makefile.PL --with-apache2-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs2". The Perl version is 5.8.5, Apache is 2.0.54, and mod_perl is 2.0.0. The "make test" passed when I installed libapreq2, and I can grab regular params just fine.

I'm inclined to think this is a bug in libapreq2, since its still fairly new code.

    Try mod_perl-2.0.1 :/

    I've never used libapreq2, so I can't think of anything beyond the obvious: is the auto or APR dir actually in one of the @INC dirs?
