Testing for existence of cookies

bigjoe11a has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Can any one tell me how do I find out if a user has a cookie or not, their has do be some test. I just want to find out if the use has this one cookie. how do I do it, and Paul. the CGI.pm doc's didn't have that information, just in case you asked. Joe

the CGI.pm doc's didn't have that information, just in case you asked. yes they do: `To retrieve a cookie, request it by name by calling cookie() method wi +thout the -value parameter: use CGI; $query = new CGI; $riddle = cookie('riddle_name'); %answers = cookie('answers');` [download] "What should it profit a man, if he should win a flame war, yet lose his cool?"
