Right, I have decided to create a website using WML (a lovely use of html and perl) And I have realises that perl can be used for many things :) I have decided to gether information on the browser being used by my sites visitors. Perl will manage that database and I should be able to tailor my site according to the most popular browser audience. Then I'll use my perl script for email lists to easily contact those who have signed up for a newsletter. One last thing, a bulletin board like thing. On the main site, I think it could be done in perl but It will take me some time :) --Kakarot

    kakarot,

You might consider getting a copy of Programming the Perl DBI, which provides a good overview of the DBI module, not to mention a good introduction to SQL, the relational module, and a number of very good discussions about optimizing database applications.

Also, if you get it through Buy Stuff, the Monestary gets a small kickback. So, you can support your community and broaden your mind.

It always takes some time, but it can always be done in Perl. MY only thought isn't this sort of something similiar to the everything system??? Why do something which has already been done.
