My bad... I think I misled you a bit. To quote the Benchmark documentation for cmpthese: "This chart is sorted from slowest to fastest, ..." so the higher the number, the faster the code. I don't think the actual number means much of anything, it's the percent difference between the different subs being compared that's important.	[reply]
