There are many good expositions of the ST. One that I think you'll enjoy is the famous paper by Guttman and Rosler on sorting in Perl, which describes other sorting techniques as well. japhy's Resorting to Sorting is also very good.

    LOL - your nodes' titles have been incorrectly spelled, inverting "z" and "t". But as I say below, I would leave these thread's titles as they are now, with all the errors: we have automatic spelling correction for free in quick searches :)
