lestrrat has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I had this working perfectly on Panther, but now I'm trying to migrate to a Tiger environment. For some reason all the compilation works fine, but I can't seem to load libapreq2 because of what looks like a incompatible version in libexpat. I get a "Library not loaded..." error like this:

Reason: Incompatible library version: Error.bundle requires version 6.0.0 or later, but libexpat.0.dylib provides version 2.0.0

I must be missing something really trivial. there *is* no libexpat 6.0.0 AFAIK. Has anyone encountered anything like this?

maybe you could just use xampp. it is a fairly complete apache with (mod_)perl and some other things claiming to be the "simplest, most practical and most complete webserver solution". i use it sometimes when i'm forced to develop on win32. it's precompiled and fairly painless. you can get it here.
