I think the counter argument for PHP would mostly apply to Perl as well
Considered by hakkr: toreap apparently a duplicate
Unconsidered by Arunbear: keep votes prevented reaping (Keep/Edit/Delete: 15/0/20). Not a true duplicate anyway.
