My scanning eyes often play tricks on my semi-concious mind. For instance, they'll transform certain words into other words. Once I slow down to actually read the line, it will end up to be quite different from what I'd originally thought it said.

Today, I've been suffering from scanning past the title "tools you can't live without" and seen "tools you can't live with". Which is humorous if nothing else.

So, I'm interested in hearing about other people's humorous instances of eyes "seeing" something different than what was actually there.

I'll let someone else open a different meditaion on what "tools" might garner enough contempt that they'd land on a list of things you can't live with.

A few months ago there were popular posts about working for the porn industry, along with posts about improving your ability to estimate work. They showed up together on the weekly and monthly best, and the meme that was constantly transmitted to my mind was the combination "How to improve your ability to estimate work at a porn company."

Update: Marked title as OT as suggested by the consideration

That's interesting - I also initially misread it as "tools you can live without" (probably because the topic of tools comes up fairly often) :)

Shhhhhh....quiet........you are exposing the secrets of "subliminal advertising". They do it on the radio and TV too, with images and audio fragments.

I'm not really a human, but I play one on earth. flash japh

Sometimes I think that half of what I read in the CB MUST be scanning errors. Especially when disscusions of power tools merges into smutty hour ;)
