The random choice is horribly underrepresented in the results. only 1/8th of the people who do the random thing would actually vote for it because there are 8 choices, and if i agree with the random choice i'll probably not vote for it because im voting at random.

The random choice is horribly underrepresented in the results. First off, I think you mean overrepresented, since nearly 1/4th the people picked it. Secondly, you are assuming that 100% are voting randomly. If we assume that 1/8th of the random voters picked "random", then the majority of the "random" votes probably came from people who "pick an answer and vote for another". :-) -- Random Synapse Firing	[reply] [d/l]

First off, I think you mean *over*represented, since nearly 1/4th the people picked it.
Secondly, you are assuming that 100% are voting randomly. If we assume that 1/8th of the random voters picked "random", then the majority of the "random" votes probably came from people who "pick an answer and vote for another". :-)
