The only reason I shell out to fly to Europe from NY is to snowboard on glaciers in the Alps. You give me an excuse to do that and you'll have to beat me away with a stick.

I know that Merlyn is into Carribean cruises Perhaps you've missed that about one cruise in four goes up north, to Alaska. I've helicoptered onto a glacier, trouncing around in waist-high snow. My home page also shows me taking second place at the US National Competition for GS Racing (in my category, of course), and until I started running out of both time and money, I was a 35-day-per-year snowboarder. I absolutely hate "good" weather... Next time maybe... Someplace with snow. Amen! Preach it, brother! I, too, hate weather that approaches within a few degrees of body temperature. It makes me want to go lie down in a snowbank, except there obviously aren't any in that kind of weather. I've had just about enough summer for one year, and am looking forward to the advent of decent weather (by which I mean, obviously, weather cool enough that the snow isn't all soggy and melty and nasty). It's not proper winter unless the snow crunches and squeaks under your feet and then continues to blow around in the breeze, no matter how many times you walk on it.	[reply]
