Changing the title of a process

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I notice when I do a ps -aux that sendmail has changed it's name to: sendmail: now accepting connections on port 25 How can I do this within Perl?

Modify $0. Or, if you want to exec a process and change its name: `exec {'/bin/csh'} '-sh'; # pretend it's a login shell` [download] (Taken directly from exec).	[reply] [d/l]
