Problems with Macperl and HTTP

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I just installed perl for a mac (no i don't use..it's just for a friend,) and I have a problem making macperl work with http for me. I've use perl on unix before...but it seems mac as a fuzzy approch to everything...should I configure the websharing somewhow?

Cat, I use OS 9. Actually i managed to undetstand the creation of CGI/ACGI files. Now I have the following problem: My scripts completely do not see the CGI-params of either get or post kind. As a matter of fact, no environment variables like: `$ENV{"CONTENT_LENGTH"}`, etc... are defined. My code is simple and used by me on UNIX based perl 100 times. Maybe I am supposed to install something else?? All i did was install Mac_Perl_520r4_appl. p.s: that's a cute dog u got...looks a bit like mine...except i have a german shephard with big teeth. :)- Edit: footpad, ~Tue Nov 20 15:02:41 2001 (UTC)	[reply] [d/l]

hmmmm. well, i'll install macperl on my powerbook tonight & see, but in the meantime, you should post the code from your script here & check out these better options for developing perl on macs: linux ppc mac os x install nifty telnet (available from download.com) & get a shell account on a *nix computer where you can do your perl.
