Re^4: Scriptable way to set a user's Proxy Server

Firefox does not store their user setting in the registry. In firefox,I can access/change them by typing "about:config" in the URL (look at network.proxy.type). I just cannot figure out how to do this via a script.

I forgot to double check that you are on Windows (you can run IE on Linux etc.), and that you are using a Domain Controller, with roaming profiles? If so, you can set/edit a user profile. Read up on the different techniques: Mozilla Firefox Corporate Rollout Mini-HOWTO (Last updated 06.07.2005) I upgraded from Windows 98 / ME to Windows 2000 / XP and now my profile along with my mail is gone. What happened? I need / want to create a new profile and I want to copy my data (cookies, mail, bookmarks,...) from the old profile to the new one. How do I do that? What's MozBackup? If not, there is always Transparent Proxying Walking the road to enlightenment... I found a penguin and a camel on the way..... Fancy a yourname@perl.me.uk? Just ask!!!	[reply]
