I don't really like your idea.

Firstly, there are some people who don't want to see themselves on the corner perlmonks page.

Also, it seems from her post that castaway is running this competition as the owner of im2, not in the name of Perlmonks (that would probably require a concensus among the gods). Thus, she does not have authority to change the monk icons, as that's clearly an issue of the whole perlmonks.

Firstly, there are some people who don't want to see themselves on the corner perlmonks page. I fully second that. Those images were one of the things I liked less in the visual appearance of PM; well probably they were the only one I really disliked -- so I just disabled them. Not to say that others should share my tastes, but I bet I'm not the only one to have done so...	[reply]
