Do I do it like this?

open (NODES, "<$nodes") or die "could not open nodes file $nodes";    
+                  
close NODES;
               
open (CSV, ">$csv") or die "could not open scv file $csv";
$tmp = join(",",@columns);                      
close CSV;
print CSV "$tmp\n";

while (<NODES>) {
        chop;
[download]
