If you are using Activestate Perl try typing:
ppm install http://www.gossamer-threads.com/ppm/Net-SSLeay-1.22-5.8.0.ppd
From the command prompt.
For general help with modules check out the tutorial A guide to installing modules for Win32 by holli.

Thanks marto that seems to been the missing part. I checked the guide link you suggested and that was also helpful. I am curious though as I'm new to XP perl about how one finds ppd's out there. I doubt I'd ever bump into gossamer-ghreads.	[reply]

Script to update your PPM Repositories is also helpful, as is tachyon's A Practical Guide to Compiling C based Modules under ActiveState using Microsoft C++. For future reference, Randy Kobes takes requests - I got a turnaround of less than 24 hours on one of my requests and it installed seamlessly. :-) HTH, planetscape	[reply]

Thanks that's a big help. I'm coming from a CPAN world and the PPM arrangements are a bit different. You've given me some good pointers that are much appreciated.	[reply]
