Before you post one, it's really a good idea to see if it hasn't already been discussed. The Search tools can be very useful in seeing if a similar thought has been floated and, if so, what the general response was.
As an example, read a few of the hits from ChatterBox log. Among other things, you'll find that some monks are very clear in their preferences against logging CB.
Actually, searching for prior discussions before *any* new nodes isn't a bad idea. I know I've been able to find a lot of extremely useful information that way.

P.S. Don't sweat the points. Many monks have taken hits during the course of their presence here. Over time, it evens out. Besides, it looks like your two posts are (as of this writing) balanced. Not sure what that's done to your XP, but the Reps (currently) cancel out.
