    Remember that nobody asked them to volunteer, thus nobody here has the need to say thank you.

    Hundreds of people donated countless hours of time and energy over 18 years (so far) to produce something that's free to use and modify and extend, and you don't feel any sense of gratitude because no one asked them to do it?

    I find your sense of priority and entitlement baffling and bewildering, but you can use software I helped to write anyway.

    If everyone fucked off because they couldn’t afford to volunteer right – how do you volunteer right, and who makes the rules? –, nothing would ever get done.

    You have no obligation to say thanks, nor any right to complain.

    Don’t beg not to be begged for mercy.
