Hawtin, msvcrt.dll is _M_icro_S_oft _V_isual _C_(++) _R_un _T_ime .dll :) mmmmnn... acronyms are yummy... One thing to try is this -- put the version you'd like Perl to use in the /perl/bin folder, as windows happily attempts to provide the .dll file first in the application's folder, and then in the system directory.
