Module linking

I noticed an alternate query method for search.cpan after Corion provided me with a link to a site that lets you grep CPAN... The patch submitted here allows for more direct linking to modules until the beta search comes online (unless we want to start linking to that, in which case mode=beta).

Similarly, I saw bart's pending patch to replace perldoc.com (whatever happened to that?) and wondered if instead using the new annotate site might be "better"?

I saw bart's pending patch to replace perldoc.com (whatever happened to that?) I don't know. But it's been dead for so long now, that I've abandoned all hope that it'll ever be back online again. Or at least, anytime soon(ish) (i.e. within the next 2 years).	[reply]
