Thanks. Do you think it'd be worthwhile doing that? I still like the idea of being able to call sched_yield explicitly (despite dave_the_m's very valid objection), and it'd be useful on older Perl versions as well. But I don't want to pollute CPAN with useless stuff.

I think a module like this could be useful in certain situations, even though I've never had any reason to use this syscall (but to be honest, I didn't even know it existed). So I'd say go for it. The name is probably OK. At least, there is some precedent in POSIX::strptime and the POSIX::RT modules. "What should it profit a man, if he should win a flame war, yet lose his cool?"	[reply]
