Long Lines in <code> tag

Dear Monks,
I regularly visit this site with Firefox (1.0.7) on Win32. And I have discovered repeatedly recently that especially in the Seekers of Wisdom section code lines often exceeded my screen width (quite a generous one) therefore forcing me to scroll horizontally when reading other nodes, when using the nodelet or when voting.
Do other browsers wrap the lines? Are other people annoyed by this? What can be done?
I do not really like the idea of automatic line wrapping but would there be a chance to disable the create/update button for nodes if a single code line is exceeding a number of characters, e.g. 100?
I'd like to know what other monks think about this or if it is just me being my good old self and complaining too much?

And it’s not likely to be fixed soon either. #9101 is as old as the hills and remains unresolved. Makeshifts last the longest.	[reply]
