    To be fair to 'Moron', I blame the sys admins for this.

    Handcuffing us developers(for their own pleasure) so that we can't use the best tools for the job:)

    However if you upgrade every 5 or ten years it goes without saying you are losing competitive advantage to those companies that are more flexible.

    A cpan module is as non-core as your own modules so by that logic u can't write any code in corporate environments

    Large coporations are actually more likely to have good sys admins, change/version management processes and strong testing procedures that may be needed.
