Thinking about [id://Erudil]'s famous letter, 1st Monasterians, I thought it would be fun to adapt the Beatitudes to PM:

Of course, after I wrote this, it occurred to me to search, and behold, [id://zdog] came up with this idea (PM Beatitudes) first, more than five years ago.

I guess the writer of Ecclesiastes was correct in that "there is nothing new under the sun". But it seems to me one extra beatitude is needed:

Loosely adapted (with apology) from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 5.

    • Blessed are they who do not take themselves too seriously, for they shall have fun.

This one should be stamped on the Monastery Gates, in letters 10 feet tall ;)

But will my wife let me get a monitor big enough for 10 ft tall letters? No; indeed, even asking would provoke her ire, resulting in my having to sleep in the basement.

Your wife obviously needs to re-evaluate her priorities <grin>

Blessed are those who use win32, for they will be saved by ActiveState.

I'm not really a human, but I play one on earth. flash japh
/me, frustration on my face, snaps fingers and mutters, as the light of zentaras revelation sinks in,
".oOh, I knew there was something wrong with my version --
'Blessed are those saved by AS from w32.'"
Blessings on all Monks, regardless of OS persuasion!
