A useful link: Death by Caffeine, courtesy of DigitalKitty.

Also, to quote from http://www.sidhe.org/~dan/blog/archives/2005_11.html (let me underline that it's from Dan Sugalski's blog before complaining that it's OT):

The LD50 for caffeine is 192 mg/kg. Just for informational purposes, you understand.

To also quote from a reply there (slightly edited):

People often are not aware of how much Dihydrogen Monoxide they ingest when they ingest Caffeine. Dihydrogen Monoxide can also be very dangerous:

TOXICITY: LD50 (IPR-MOUSE)(G/KG) - 190
LD50 (IV-MOUSE) (MG/KG) - 25

Dihydrogen Monoxide can also be very dangerous:

Unfortunately, I am addicted to dihydrogen monoxide. I got hooked at a very young age, and now I simply can't live without it. The withdrawal symptoms are horrible, and if prolonged, could be fatal. Take my advice - if you're not already hooked on the stuff, stay away from it. Once you start, you'll be hooked for the rest of your life. There is no known treatment.
