ghenry has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear Monks,

"Perl Best Practices, Page 242, Chapter 12: Regular Expressions"

Consider mandating the Regexp::Autoflags module.

I was trying to use it, but there is no such thing!!! Any ideas on what happened to it?

    Maybe it was renamed? See this note in the Changes file of Regexp::DefaultFlags:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------- r8252: autrijus | 2004-09-27T18:33:54.779668Z * This be 0.01 of Regexp::DefaultFlags. * Renamed from Regexp::Auto; suggested by Jesse Vincent. * Added tests; now at 100% coverage.

      Cool. Must have.

      I looked on http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/perlbp/errata/ but there was no mention, so thought someone here would know. That page should definitely be updated to show this, if that is the case.

        Sounds like your volunteering to report the problem :)
