Problems with installing modules

jakeeboy has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm having problems upgrading to the latest PathTools which has been upgraded to 3.15. Every time I try to upgrade it I get an error that Module::Signature states:

==> BAD/TAMPERED signature detected! <==

Signature invalid for distribution file. Please investigate.

What should I do? How would I inform the person responsible for the module. I took CPAN's advice and removed the PathTools tar file and the directory that CPAN created. I also changed url's to download a different file but how to inform the module owner of what has happened? Thanks

Look at http://search.cpan.org to see that PathTools is written by KWILLIAMS and that he has a published email address. Send him a note and also file a bug report in http://rt.cpan.org against it. ⠤⠤ ⠙⠊⠕⠞⠁⠇⠑⠧⠊	[reply]
