dont_you has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm searching for a web hosting service, based on Spain. I need some rare Perl modules (like "GD" :) installed, and access to .htaccess files. As these requirements sounds silly, has given me headaches in the past.
Can some of you, spanish monks, point me to a good host where I can put my .cgi files?

José

(I feared that if I write in spanish I could be excomulgated)

I think an excelent option is a private server from Amen. It offers some of the benefits of a dedicated server, at a lower cost.

You can check out them here.

I know that IPowerWeb in the USA do this, including URL re-writing if you can get the syntax right (in the .htaccess file). I've even got Mason running there (albeit in CGI mode, not mod_perl). I know you're looking for service in Spain, though.
