I think we could break out of the stereotype of men having to get flowers for women - and only women. My boss at work (a man) gave me flowers for my birthday (I'm also male). He did *not* get me roses, though.

I have to admit that I spent several minutes trying to figure out what that rose "function" might do in Perl, before I understood it to be ASCII art.
