Do you not like renaming "err" to "dor"? The latter is more accurate as the first implies that an undefined value is always an error, which it most certainly is not.

Yes exactly. I do like renaming 'err' to be 'dor'. That was the point. See my other posts, or my rants on p5p on the subject. Or read a minor summary in the subthread starting at Re^7: Why Perl 6 is taking so !@#$ long --- $world=~s/war/peace/g	[reply]
