since font aliasing introduced in Tcl/Tk 8.5, you can use it with
Tcl::Tk or
Tkx modules from CPAN, which are, unlike perl/Tk, use Tk externally, thus allowing more modern and capable version to use.
... and font aliasing problem do not exists on Windows, where rendering goes a bit differently.
