in thread how to change process & thread priority on Win32 ?
To my knowledge, everything in Re^5: how to change process & thread priority on Win32 ? is correct, but I'm only human and it's a big subject, so if you are aware of any mistakes in that post, please feel free to bring them to my attention and I will correct them.
The was a mistake in Re^7: how to change process & thread priority on Win32 ?, namely that when writing the post, I conflated some attributes of Perl's internal thread identifiers (TIDs) with the OS native entities by the same name, and suggested that TIDs were unique within their process.
Whilst true, it is not the whole truth as far a OS native TIDs are concerned, as these are unique within the entire system. This is not the case for Perl's TIDs which are only unique (and usuable) within that process. Ie. Every threaded Perl process has it's own TID==1, TID==2 etc. Whereas, the OS native TIDs for those same threads are always unique within the system.
I rectified that error in with an update shortly after posting it. If you are aware of any other errors within that or any other post, please bring them to my attention.
