Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'd really like to find a Perl Interpreter, so that I can learn perl by actually typing it, instead of reading a lot about it. If someone could please direct me to the nearest download spot for one, I'd be very thankful.

    Go to www.perl.com click on Downloads on the sidebar and you can choose the correct place to download a copy for your particular operating system
