Find part of info

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I need to get this part out of a paragraph:

<br>*
[download]

Alot of my info looks like this:

(3/3/2005)<br>* more words here. yes again<br>* okay
Next data<br>* and here we go.
[download]

My attempt not working:

$myfind =~ //<br>//*/;
[download]

`$myfind =~ s/<br>\//g;`. The above replaces (`s///`) all occurences (`g`) of "`<br>`" (`*` is special, so it must be escaped) with "" in `$myfind`. Regexps operators are documented in perlop. Regexps are documented in perlre.	[reply] [d/l] [select]
