As far as I know, they are not hiring. However, you can do a few things (notwithstanding the fact that you may have to also overcome a bad reputation. But this is your first serious post, so here is a serious answer)

    1. Hit the"Everything Development Company" link at the bottom of every page. Download the code. Live it. Breathe it. Learn it very, very, very well.
    2. Move to Holland, Michigan. Seriously.
    3. Learn perl and MySQL extremely well.
    4. Identify problems and/or feature requests that occur on Perl Monks and Everything and code fixes for them. Send in your patches constantly until you develop a good reputation as someone who can get the job done.
    5. Apply (in person preferably) for a job. Even if they have nothing, they will have your resume on file.
    6. Wait, repeating steps 3, 4, and 5 as needed.

The bottom line is, they ain't hiring. However, if you have a good skill set, especially working with Perl, the web, and databases, jobs are not that hard to find. Good luck.

(Matter of fact, anyone looking for an Atlanta perl job let me know)

Also, learn mod_perl and apache guts some too, it will help alot...
