winXP, FF 1.5.0.3

If I want to return to a Super Search results page via the back button I get a "The page you are trying to view contains POSTDATA that has expired..." diologue box. Am I right in thinking that clicking "OK" forces another search? I feel I should avoid doing that. I've been ctrl clicking links to open a new tab and then returning to the tab with the results. Is this necessary? How do other monks use Super Search?

I use it by using my middle button which opens the link in another tab. Way faster than going back and forth.

Mind you, that's how I use Newest Nodes, too.

You're in serious need of Mozilla Firefox and the wonders of Tabbed Browsing. Open your search results in a new tab, and you avoid messing up your search until you're really done with it, at which time you just close its tab.

The FF was meant to indicate Firefox and I mentioned "open a new tab". :-)

Thanks for your response though, it seems this is the way to go.

I'm pretty sure there's an open bug for FF concerning that behaviour, though I can't immediately find the number. It basically states that pressing the back button should always serve the cached results, not make a new request to the old URL.

(OT) There even used to be a similar issue with "view source", where even that would cause a new request of your current page. Which could result in things like double posts and the like.
