in thread Moving from SQL to flat-files

I'm actually going in the other direction and writing Presto, which is a OODBMS built on top of DBM::Deep.

My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?

Very cool. Still it's not mutually exclusive - why not have OODBMS *and* RDBMS frontends to DBM::Deep?
Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say "Nonono!". :-) I meant to say "I won't have time to do it, but other people are more than welcome to do so." Plus, you'll exercise DBM::Deep a bunch, making it better. :-)

And, with 1.00, you'll have transactions.
