Thanks, for the info. I tried running a TK script on my Mac. It didn't work, probably because TK is not already installed. This would imply that I'd have to install TK on every Mac in the lab--something that I'd rather not have to do. Is there an easier to get this done with software (like Perl) that's comes preinstalled on Macs?	[reply]

Hi Optimalist, I think what you may want to do is install the required modules on one Mac and develop the script there. You can then use PAR to package this script and its dependant modules into an executable which you could then distribute to the rest of the Macs.
