A while back (maybe 6 months ago), I reached the point level to add an image to my profile. I took advantage of that, and added an image of my crazy dog (though he looked normal in the picture). All was right. Image was not too big, and certainly not copyrighted.

I checked today, and now I have no image on my profile.

Is there some reason/process/hiden rules which removed the image? I've been relatively scarce around these parts. Could that have caused it?

I don't know if you have re-uploaded it, but now I definitely see a dog on your homenode.

And a fine looking beast he is, too.

I see the issue. I do get the image when I click on my username on the top menu bar. However, when I click on 'My info' for the 'Settings Nodelet', there is no image, nor any listing that I have an image set. Just a blank saying I can add an image.

Is this a bug or a feature?

As stated on the page where you upload your image:

"The rules are simple: only upload JPEG, PNG, or GIF. No larger than 80 kB. Suggested maximum width is 500 pixels. We will take away this privilege if what you post is copyrighted or obscene. "

Maybe you violated the width limit?

Update: Hmmm. If your current node image is the same one, it doesn't seem to violate -- 35 kb and 437 pixels wide ... I'm stumped. Maybe one of the janitors or gods could tell you ... or possibly it was (my favorite theory for pretty much anything) evil gnomes.

I might not know what I'm talking about, but I know that some months ago the ranking/voting system was changed. Maybe you were temporarily dropped back down below what's needed to have a picture?
