Set the SYBASE environment variable to the directory that contains your interfaces file.

If that is the freetds.conf file, I have done so. It has no effect.	[reply]

For install, set SYBASE to the parent directory of the lib that contains the libtds files -- on my ubuntu box, that would be SYBASE=/usr -derby	[reply]
