CPAN is your friend: Video::Info, Image::Info, AudioFile::Info, etc.

(try looking in the comments for author info in images, if I remember correctly, or for JPEG specifically, Image::MetaData::JPEG)

I don't know of a generic module that handles which one to pass off to, though.
