help! perl to html

subersibo has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

hello! im new to perl and im having this problem. im making an HTML Form. to make it interactive, i downloaded a PERL5.8 and installed it to windowsXP. though i typed these codes: "Content-Type: text/html" with html codes in a PL file, the PL file wont print it in html/iexplorer. Where did i go wrong? Please help.
