There was a girl hacker named Bruss
Whose hair was always a muss
  A Perl coder found her,
  Wrapped himself around her,
And soon she was hacker++

    Curious (if not dirty) minds will now trawl the 'Net to find a picture of Bruss and the newborn.

    PS: Do let us know if it is a boy or a girl!

      You might find Bruss (though it might be harder than you think...), but these two are pretty anti-posting-pictures-of-their-spawn, so no public baby pics.

      A beautiful girl, 9+ pounds, 20 digits, and she has her very own stuffed camel to play with (hey, I couldn't resist advocacy when it was so cute!).

    There is no better way to celebrate a new life than with a poem. And yours is a nice one. ++

    I know this responce is a tad late, I just stumbled across your poem.

    But boy is it beautiful! It's humorous and so, so sweet. Honestly, I shed a little tear here.

    ++ for you too!

    Update: and a link from my homenode.

    Would someone explain exactly how this works plz... does it do anything?

      It doesn't "work": it's not Perl code. From the section note:

      Poetry" is in the eye of the beholder; it could be any of:
      • Poetry written in Perl
      • Using perl to generate poetry
      • Poetry about Perl/PerlMonks
      Emphasis mine.
