pavan_goday has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks, here i used to work or browse so many browsers..so when i come back to any of the opened browser, it says expired session: So i want to run a perl script such that it will always make the browser activate so that it should not time out or session expires: Eg: if i opened yahoomail account and came back to the same after doing or browsing someother things..my mail account should not expire or should not ask for relog-in. so is there any way to keep my browsers always active as long as i run the script..?

I use Firefox and ReloadEvery extension.

Or just be thankful that some very simple part of a security and authentication mechanism works. But if you really must, then use a timed reloader extension. However, be aware that some sites detect the 'refresh' operation with no data being submitted and don't restart the inactivity timer. I don't know about the sites you refer to, but it does happen.

I would think this could be done through an OLE control for your browser.
