Perhaps you could explain what you mean by "John's autofit.pl". Maybe even give a link to it. Googling "autofit.pl" just takes me to a Polish web site.

    He has a sight http://search.cpan.org/dist/Spreadsheet-WriteExcel/ in his set of examples there is an autofit.pl routine I was trying to use and am having some trouble
