jgamble has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I have to write an extension to an existing program. This will involve writing files that are (probably) HTML-formatted, then invoking a separate process that will e-mail them to the clients (newspapers).

I'm going through the riches that are CPAN, and I'm having trouble narrowing down my choices. For this task, all I need1 is something that will mail the text with a Content-Type of "text/html". Is there a pure-perl module that will do that simply?

Thanks,
-john

1. Assuming I'm not stupidly overly-simplifying the problem.

Thanks, I'm studying it now and it looks good.

Thanks. I didn't even think of using "Mime" in the CPAN search box.

The remainder of your suggestion is very helpful too, since I forgot to mention that this is going to be done on a MS-Windows box, hopefully of recent vintage.

      Thanks again,
