in reply to PPM repository for 5.8

I found the following entry for DBI at the Active state 5.8 repository:

52. ActiveState Package Repository [http://ppm.ActiveState.com/PPM/ppmserver-5.8-windows.plex? urn:/PPM/Server/SQL] DBI [1.50]

What repositories do you currently have configured in PPM? Use rep at the ppm prompt to list your current repositories and the rep describe n to see their urls. Eg.

ppm> rep Repositories: [1] Jenda [2] ActiveState Package Repository [3] Roth [4] JMC [5] PTK [6] rto [7] OpenInteract [8] GA [9] Crazy [ ] dada [ ] Theory ppm> rep describe 2 Describing Active Repository 2: Name: ActiveState Package Repository Location: http://ppm.ActiveState.com/PPM/ppmserver-5.8-windows.plex?ur +n:/PPM/Server/SQL Type: PPMServer 3.0

(Gosh darn I wish they'd just list the whole information in the first place instead of forcing you to describe each one individually!)

Thank you for your answers. I will try that script. My repositories are: "ActiveState Package Repository" with the same URN as you wrote (but there is no result for search *) and another rep I found at location:http://ppm.activestate.com/PPMPackages/5.6plus/ Type:Webpage
