Just more or less a curiosity question here...

Is the order of listing in the "Others Users" box ranked from highest to lowest and based off of one's experience level and the number of writeups he/she may have done?

I was curious about this and started checking from top down with the persons who were in the monastery at that moment -- merlyn was first, then chromatic, next up was Fastolfe (helluva man because he's in St. Louis - KSHE!! :) and so on...

I looked at their $HOME nodes and noticed that (surprise here :) merlyn's info was higher, followed by chromatic, and so on and so on... not that it matters any, but I am fairly sure others have wondered as well. I browsed the misc caverns and caves of this place and didnt find anything (perhaps looked for wrong thing?) and found nothing... I know curiosity killed the cat... so I guess you can count me down yet one more life =)

Since everyone is too busy arguing in the chatterbox, I'll "answer". (:

Last time I checked, the HTML Other Users Nodelet sort users first by XP (not number of write-ups) and second by "age" (whether that is determined by "user creation time" or by "user homenode ID number" is unclear from outside).

The Tk Chatterbox Client sorts users alphabetically (except for my chatterbox that I patched specifically to avoid this).

The new HTML Chatterbox Frameset sorts users by "age" (see above).

I asked Vroom that question about 6 months ago, and his answer was, "Yes."

I believe my question was: "Are the 'Other Users' listed by xp?", but I may have refered to the order in the book.
