Now, I consider myself to be an average PH, but this is something I'm having trouble with;

The situation is that I want to retrieve an HTTPS Page, only using x.509 certificates for authentication. The OpenCA modules seem to be for use on the recieving end -- it looks like the Net::SSLeay module is what I need to use, but I'm not sure and there is little information on the 'net about this particular topic... plenty of stuff for being on the server side of things, but not on being the client.

    Not sure this'll help as the perl code in the article was lousy but SysAdmin Magazine 02/99 had an article SSL: What does it buy me which talked about certs. I just skimmed it and, of course, that particular article isn't online but the code should be.
