When I read your article, the first thing that came to mind was: What have I gotten myself into? I almost quit Perl. I don't have time for crap, and you wasted my time.

Sounds negative to me! I'm sorry, but I agree %100 with Brian, and I'm glad someone had the guts to speak out against what has to be the lamest discussion that I've ever read!
